Goodbye Tai

with 4 comments

She was my beautiful and perfect girl, the queen of the house.
From mill momma to cairn rescue in TX, to my home in AZ, to cross country trek to RI and finally to CT, she was a trooper all the way.
Two years on three legs and never a complaint.  She was the strongest Cairn I have known.
Rest in Peace baby girl.
This tribute from Cynthia Rylant’s Dog Heaven is what I hope for
When dogs go to heaven, They don't need wings
Because God knows that Dogs love running best.
He gives them fields. Fields and fields and fields.
When a dog first arrives in heaven, he just runs.
Dog heaven has clear, wide lakes
Filled with geese who honk and flap
And tease. The dogs love this.
They run beside the water and bark
And bark and God watches them
From behind a tree and smiles.

  1. I’m so very, very, very sorry ro resr rhis today. We all adored Tai so much.💖 Ahe jumped jnto our hearts with her first post….and certainly made us smile with every precious photo of her cute self.

The poem you shared is lovely, so lovely. Of course, I’m reading all this through tears.

Vut mu tears are for yiu, for us, but not for Tai. She was sooooo loved and adored by you and could not have had a better life once she found you! The fact that she mastered being a tripawd for two years AND was able to be in her earth clothes for SIXTEEN years! A little Miracle Dog indeed!!

The void and break in routine yiu arr facing will seem unbearable at first. We understand rhe depth of your bond, and especially the depth of love and admiration you develop because of this journey, like no others can.

We also know that, as much as your heart is breaking right now, your heart will smile again as you think of all the joy and happiness you and Tai shared. That’s what she wants you to focus on.

I keep scrolling back up to look at her cute picture and it makes me smile. I’m pretty sure when she got to Heaven all the dogs greeted her with her own little sweater with “”Cute Princess” printed on it!❤

Please, when you can, share more of the magical of Tai with us. She touched us all. Her legacy of hope will j aspire newbies fot uears yo come. She will ALWAYS be remembered here…..ALWAYS!

  2. Tracey, we are all so sadden to read the news. The heartache you are feeling right now has got to be unbearable. She was such a huge part of your life, we are deeply sorry and send all our condolences.

Please know that your pretty angel’s story will not end here. She will always be that one senior dog that we look to and tell people “If Tai could do it, so can your dog!” She had an amazing, inspawrational life as a Tripawd and we are so grateful that you allowed us to be part of the journey with her. Thank you always for that experience.

I agree with Sally, we would love to see more photos, any videos, and read more stories about the long, unforgettable life she had. When you are ready, we will be here.

    So very, very sorry.

  3. So very sorry for the loss of your Tai….we just added a Cairn puppy to our household of 2 westies. He is a joy. Run free, sweet Tai, and if you see a handsome black Dobie named Nitro at the Bridge, tell him his mama says “hi”.

  4. Oh Tracey! I really more sort of happened to come here and I couldn’t believe what I saw. I am so sorry.
You and Tai were such constant and cherished companions to Manni and me that it felt like she would be around forever.
I always felt that if Manni missed out on anything these last two years of his life it was to run, run like the wind like he used to so much. When he had to leave it was my sole consolation that he would be doing that again.
Oh, if we could watch them now, running by the water, barking happily.
    Hugs Tracey
